1.2311 Steel Plate (360 × 160 mm), also known as AISI P20 Steel and 3Cr2Mo Plastic Tool Steel, is a premium pre-hardened mould steel developed for high-performance tooling and plastic mould applications. It offers an excellent balance of strength, toughness, wear resistance, and machinability, making it a preferred choice for mould manufacturers worldwide.

This low-alloy tool steel is supplied in a pre-hardened condition with a typical hardness of 30–34 HRC, allowing easy machining without the need for additional heat treatment. Its excellent dimensional stability minimizes the risk of distortion during manufacturing and ensures consistent performance in production.

The chromium and molybdenum alloying elements improve hardness, toughness, and wear resistance, while providing good polishing characteristics for high-quality mould surfaces. These properties make DIN 1.2311 Steel Plate suitable for medium and large plastic moulds, die-casting tools, and precision engineering applications.
